The vehicle is brought to the recycling facility, where it is dismantled. This involves removing all reusable parts, such as the engine, transmission, and other components. Hazardous materials like batteries, fluids, and airbags are also safely removed and disposed of. 

The remaining vehicle shell is then fed into a shredder. This machine breaks down the vehicle into smaller pieces, separating metals from non-metallic materials. The shredded materials are sorted using magnets and other separation techniques to recover valuable metals like steel, aluminum, and copper. 

The recovered metals are then processed and purified. They are melted down and formed into new metal products, which can be used in manufacturing new vehicles or other products. Non-metallic materials, such as plastics and glass, are also recycled or disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
